Green & Gold La La Fancy

This wonky star quilt plays with the traditional half square triangle and a half rectangle triangle. The play of the two different triangles gives interest to every point of every star. The colors go from a light green stripe to a bold saffron gold to the navy backing. There is even a hint of metallic gold in a subtle polka dot. To highlight to interesting points, I hand quilted the entire quilt in a contrasting white that is shown beautifully on the back. It is a touch of traditional on the modern take of the more common quilts of days past.
