Pinwheel Fall

The natural background is punctuated by various shades of sage green, teal, rust, mustard and even some pinks. The traditional pinwheel block cascades downward and also has a few floating blocks throughout. The traditional is turned on its head with the playful positioning of the pinwheels. The quilting is giant funky flowers that pop in the negative space. The backing is teal and yellow super soft cotton. 

This quilt was my attempt to not waste a single scrap from a previous quilt. By using the odd shapes and colors that harmonize so well, I was able to make this unique quilt that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It is the perfect blanket fort quilt.
