Ombre Tic Tac Toe Quilt
Tic Tac Toe seems to be the best fit for the name of this circle and square quilt. The various shapes in the blocks give primary, secondary, and even tertiary design elements throughout the pattern. Though it is busy, the colors are simple and monochromatic to fit into any modern home. It is the focal point of any minimalist home while being unique enough to not play second fiddle in an eclectic home.
The fabric really spoke to me when designing this quilt. I wanted to continue the play between circles and squares with a focus on the ombre colors. That is how this pattern came about. There are many squares and circles throughout in the piecing and the fabric. Then, I echoed the same feel in the machine quilting in the waves and pearls. Because the front was so busy, I completed the back in silver linen that has a cross-weave in a slight teal tone. It is interesting without being busy. That makes this *almost queen* quilt unique and monochromatic on both sides.
